End of the Year! Well, this teaching year has almost come to a close. My last day teaching these little ones is Monday the 8th. Some I will miss quite a bit, some I am going to miss a little. There are none that I will not miss. I had quite the range of development in this class. I had two students that were literally a year apart in age. Two were very immature and have grown a lot but are not as developed in maturity as the others. I have 5 that are leaving our school and 5 that are continuing on to Kindergarten at our school. I hope they will visit me! Our last day will be a Tropical Luau and it should be a nice party day. Then temps are actually cool and we won't swelter in the heat like the last couple of years!
I keep a photo of each class that I teach and put it up in the room where I am that particular year. This is the photo for next years wall. Somehow the professional group shot is always missing people!
It never looks as good as our playground shot anyway! So, I say good bye to these guys and look ahead to who I will get next year! Pray that it is a good group!

Very cute photo! Good job!!

I'm so glad you found this to be your job. I think you're awesome in it and it suits you very well.

Next year I'll be working at Early Intervention - 3-5 year olds :) So maybe we'll have a few more things we can discuss back & forth.

I'm updating my blog about it today.

All these small people will remember you their whole lives. I still can't quite grasp that you not only had kids but now are helping raise othe people's kids too. Just goes to show, Ya never know about people.

yup. In fact I actually received a Mother's Day gift from one of the kids with a note from the mom saying how much he has matured and improved his manners etc. She said I was his mom away from home and that she appreciated my work with him. The little cute kid to my right. Very photogenic but can be very immature! He was the second youngest in the class.
