Easter Sunday!
Well, Easter is always a hit at Grandma's house!
With 258 eggs hidden, everyone got plenty! Especially our two who were the ones most excited about looking for the eggs. The older cousins were limited to hard to find eggs and Will, who is only 2 1/2 found some eggs and then found the sandbox. So all in all Cole found 73 eggs and Kaleigh found 66. She was leaving the easiest eggs for Will to find so she would have had more had she picked up all she saw. They found plenty and enjoyed themselves. We had a nice lunch and then a nice selection of desserts afterwards. This always ends up being an all day affair and the kids really enjoy playing with their cousins! We moms and dads had a nice time too, good food, good company and best of all, no cooking to be done by anyone! Grandma Annette does make baked beans but those don't require a lot of time. So chicken, rolls, carrot sticks, deviled eggs, and so on. Really nice. I hope that everyone had as nice a time as we had!

Sounds like a very nice time for everyone. Those are always good memories ;) I'm glad you're so supported since our side of the family is a bit of a drive :)
Lee's side was a bit scattered this year. Doug's mom isn't doing so well, and she's in the hospital, so that kind of take precedence over celebrations.
I think Lee's folks spent the day with Donna & Jim with Marla & her kids. Kraig & Nancy were with their grandkids too.
5-10 years from now when Jacquie (sp?) has her own family, you might see a transition with your family gatherings too - especially if she moves further away.
But it's great you are all able to gather & celebrate together at this point. Enjoy it!~

We assign each of the kids different colored eggs (we use plastic). Each kid finds their own color and leaves the others alone.
Sadly, we did not hide eggs for the kids this year. Partially we thought they were old enough to get over it and partially we were just busy with other stuff. Anyway, we were wrong! The girls took the empty plastic eggs and hid them for each other anyway.
I like Tina's blog comment: we will have egg hunts for our kids until they have grandkids for us.
Despite this minor issue, we had a great Easter on our end too. Drew had to work, but we had him home for Dinner. Both Grandmas were with us all day.
Ack! Robert! Drew is working? Man, they are sure growing up fast!
And we did the same for the older kids too, the three oldest cousins got blue, green and pink eggs. Kaleigh and Cole got most of the others, with their little cousin Will getting the easiest ones.
